Wire Transfer

Credit Account Requirements

To qualify for a business credit account, you must:

• Be an established business with a valid EIN or business license
• Complete our credit application with business and trade references
• Provide financial information for credit evaluation
• Maintain good payment history once approved

Credit Application Process

Applying for business credit is straightforward:

1. Download Application: Download and print our credit application form
2. Complete Information: Fill out all required business and contact information
3. Provide References: Include trade references and bank information
4. Submit Application: Email to creditapp@northeasternis.com, fax to our office (989-799-8195), or deliver in person
5. Credit Review: Our team will review your application and reach out to provided references
6. Approval Notification: You'll be contacted with approval status and credit terms
7. Account Activation: Once approved, your account will be activated and you can begin ordering on credit

What You'll Need

Have this information ready when completing your credit application:

• Legal business name and DBA (if applicable)
• Federal Tax ID (EIN) or business license number
• Business address and contact information
• Years in business and type of business entity
• Bank name, account information, and contact person
• Trade references (at least 3 suppliers you currently work with)
• Estimated monthly purchase volume

Payment Terms & Policies

Net 30 Terms

Approved business credit accounts operate on Net 30 terms:

• Payment is due 30 days from the invoice date
• Monthly statements are provided for your records
• Multiple invoices may be combined on a single payment

Late Payments

To maintain your credit account in good standing:

• Payments must be received by the due date
• Late payments may incur finance charges
• Accounts with repeated late payments may be placed on hold
• Severely delinquent accounts may be turned over to collections

Credit Limits

• Credit limits are established based on creditworthiness and business needs
• Orders exceeding your credit limit require payment before shipment
• Credit limit increases may be requested after establishing payment history
• Credit limits are reviewed periodically

Account Holds & Suspensions

Credit accounts may be placed on hold if:

• Payment is past due beyond agreed terms
• Credit limit has been exceeded
• Invalid or insufficient payment information
• Returned checks or declined payments
• Outstanding balance disputes are unresolved

While your account is on hold, orders will require payment before fulfillment. Contact our accounting department immediately at (989) 799-8190 to resolve any account issues.

Sales Tax

Michigan sales tax applies to most purchases unless you have a valid tax exemption:

• Valid Michigan sales tax exemption certificate must be on file
• Resale certificates accepted for qualified purchases
• Exemption certificates must be current and renewed as required
• Tax-exempt status applies only to qualifying purchases

If you have a tax exemption certificate, please provide a copy when setting up your account or before your first purchase.
